The IR Apollon is a protected area. It is therefore compulsory to carry a valid badge with you when you are within the Orme des Merisiers site and facilities.
The same goes for the premises of IR Apollon.
IR Apollon is open from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
Hours of support teams (laser and experiment): 8:15 am - 6:30 pm. Outside of these hours the experimental area is no longer accessible.
Shooting times : 1st shot from 10:00 a.m. - last shot at 5.15 p.m. Monday to Friday.
For your meals, you can access the Algorithmes cafeteria. A kitchen is also at your disposal if you wish.
The entire IR Apollon has two WIFI access. You have the possibilities to access to it:
• Through the “Guest” visitor network of the École Polytechnique (no settings are necessary)
• Through the Eduroam network if you have valid access.
Training in laser risks and awareness of radiological risks must be followed in order to be able to access the experimental rooms. An exemption will be provided to people who have taken these training courses and whose validity is less than three years old.
All of your equipment used in the experimental rooms will be checked for radiation in order to verify or not the presence of activation. In the event of a positive detection on a piece of equipment, you will be allowed to leave with it if you have all the necessary authorizations and documents. Otherwise, this equipment will be stored in our premises and treated according to our procedure (storage for decay or waste).
