Once your proposal for the RI APOLLON approved, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with a link, a login and a password to set up your campaign. Check the laser caracteristics, the choice of instrumentation and the target's specifications. We encourage you to join your local contact as soon as possible to discuss technical details.
A list of participants must be pre-established by the Principal Investigator. Please note that the number of people in experimental room is limited to a maximum of ten. Access to an external user is allowed if:
· He has provided all the autorisations requested in the prevention plan. A laser risk training can be followed in our premises;
· He has viewed the room's presentation (Health and Safety guidelines);
· He has visited the experimental area whith the room manager;
· He has signed the campaign's prevention plan.
In addition, at the first preparatory meeting, a list with the different materials that will be used have to be drawn up. This will enable radiation protection calculations to be carried out. If some of them present a too high risk, will be refused and will have to be replaced. A risk analysis will be carried out in order to determine the means of prevention to be put in place.
A prevention plan is drawn up for each experimental campaign, insofar as the exploitation of the facilities presents specific risks as described by the article R-4512-7 of the Labour Code.
Several preparatory meetings take place during the period from receipt of the invitation letter to your arrival on site. It is paramount to respect these steps in order to best prepare your experimental campaign. Their content is given in detail in the user guide.
People with a pacemaker should notify the person in charge of the long focal area, because the latter has permanent magnets. They can interfere with the proper functioning of these devices.
